Classes

Mommy 'N Me classes surround babies and toddlers with melody, rhythm, and song from all over the world.  Through singing, dancing, tapping and shaking,  we develop listening skills and early musicality while having fun.   Adult participation required; moms, dads, grandparents, or nannies welcome. (Ages birth through 3)

 

Music and Movement provides children with the chance to sing, move and play while developing important pitch, rhythm and listening skills.  Students are engaged with instruments, hoops, balls, and puppets while being introduced to musical concepts.  Older groups begin exploring music notation and terminology. (Ages 2 -1/2 to 6)

     

Foundations is a year-long program for kindergarteners and first-graders that prepares them for instrumental instruction.  The curriculum includes singing, moving, listening, and improvising; musical terms and notation are introduced; instrument families and musical styles are explored; students play a variety of percussion instruments in addition to focusing on a specific instrument each session:  glockenspiel, recorder, and guitar.

(Ages 5 to 7)

Sing and Pretend is a class of music, drama and costume fun.

(Ages 3 to 7; summer)

Keyboard classes introduce piano patterns and fingerings and teach basic songs.  Older groups begin reading music.

Sing, Dance, Play
This class for school-aged children teaches music theory, performance,
and improvisation through a fun and challenging blend of singing,
ensemble instrument activities, and folk dancing. (7-9 years)

Introduction to Singing
Teaches the basics of vocal technique, sight reading, and harmony through exercises, games, and songs. (7-10 years)

Singing and Acting  

Students perform songs and scenes.  Introduces singing and acting technique, as well as improvisation. (11-15 years)
