Musical Beginnings offers private lessons for children, teens and adults in the following instruments:

Piano, Violin, Viola,Voice,
Drums, Guitar and Electric Bass

Lessons are generally one half-hour per week and are held at Musical Beginnings.  Tuition for private lessons varies according to instrument and teacher.  It currently ranges from $116 to $130 per month for weekly half-hour lessons.  Tuition is based on the teacher and instrument chosen. Lessons are ongoing and can be started at any time.

Weekly lessons are supplemented by a variety of optional performance opportunities that include workshops, recitals, exams, ensembles and family music activities. These events are available to all of our private students.

All Musical Beginnings faculty have degrees in music, as well as significant performing and teaching experience. They are skilled in working with a variety of ages and ability levels. Upon enrollment, we try to match each student with the instructor that best fits his or her needs and interests.

**Studio Policy for Private Lessons**

Tuition:

• Tuition is due on the first lesson of every month.
• Tuition is paid directly to your teacher. Please make checks payable to your teacher.
• If you will not attend the first lesson of the month, please drop your tuition off at the office and it will be given to your teacher.
• Tuition covers 4 lessons a month.  When a month has 5 lesson days in it, the fifth one is used to balance out a month that has had only three lessons due to a holiday or scheduled teacher absence.   Your teacher will keep you apprised of the schedule.

 

Missed Lessons

• A student may reschedule up to two lessons per trimester in the fall, winter, and spring sessions. Tuition is not prorated for missed lessons.
• Rescheduling a lesson requires at least 48-hour notice.  Please call or email your teacher directly to request a make-up.  Their information is listed above; please keep it handy.
• Make-up lessons will be given as time becomes available in the teacher’s schedule.  Some teachers prefer to do a special make-up day once a trimester.
